Shamu kills trainer

On February 24, 2010 Seaworld trainer Dawn Brancheau, 40, was killed by Tillikum the killer whale. The 12,000 pound sea monster dragged this poor women underwater until she drowned. This entire incident all happened during one of the famous Seaworld "Believe" shows. Park spectators had many differing accounts to what actually happened. The police investigation showed that there was no sign of foul play. I believe that wild animals are wild animals and that it is in there nature to attack and kill prey. I don't really think that it is possible to domesticate such an animal with the majesty of a killer whale. It is meant to be swimming around the ocean with its pod not being kept in a chlorine tank. I don't think that the fact that you bow down to Shamu during Seaworld's show helped either. I'm pretty sure that that qualifies as idol worship, and I'm very sure that that's one of the ten commandments and you're not supposed to do it or else. This is not the first time that Tillikum the whale has attacked. In 1991 Tillikum was partially responsible for the accidental attack of trainer Katie Lee Bryne. In 1999 the park staff found the body of Daniel Dukes draped across Tillikums back. Apparently he snuck into the park at night and jumped in the tank with the killer whale. In my opinion Tillikum should be retired and released into the open sea where he belongs.
